Bally's Hotel and Casino Las Vegas
What to expect
Bally’s has a prime location on the corner of Flamingo and Las
Vegas Blvd. which makes it incredibly convenient if you like
walking over and enjoying Caesars Palace and the Bellagio for a
fraction of the price you would pay to stay there. The long walk
from the strip is eased by the moving walkway and the
escalators. If you could think of beige as a hotel and casino
Bally’s would be it. It’s not flashy yet not dull and it never
goes over the top. If you like to avoid the riff-raff Bally’s is
good for you.
What you might like:
The monorail stops right near the back of the
property and you can walk over to the Paris Las Vegas without
ever going outside. The rooms feel spacious and are well
decorated considering this is an older hotel.
The Jubilee walking tour is impressive as is the
show and the indigo lounge is comfortable and enjoyable. Of
course the big plus at Bally’s is the location and the price
compared to the big boys that surround her.
What you might not like:
The dining options are all just a bit too much
on the average side, not any one stands out. Sometimes the walk
out the front to the strip just seems too long and it becomes a
hassle if you’re looking to get somewhere in a hurry. If you
plan on checking in try waiting until late afternoon or early
morning, it can be a zoo.
My suggestion:
Take advantage of the good room rates at
Bally’s and walk over to Paris Las Vegas for food and
entertainment. You could also eat across the street at the Forum
shops at Caesars. You should also utilize the monorail from this
hotel because chances are your nearest elevator will be closer
to the monorail than to the strip.
